Aerial photos of the wetlands in south Louisiana. Most of these photos were taken from a helicopter around the Morgan City area. With cypress trees, murky water and unique wildlife, the swamps and marshes form one of the largest ecosystems of its kind in the whole world.
These wetlands are under threat from coastal erosion, sea level rise, drainage, and general carelessness. The amazing wetlands of south Louisiana are just as important as the Amazon or Everglades and is in a great need for attention if this unique environment is to be preserved for future generations.
