  1. Davies Media Design: Always great to hear the real-world application of my tutorials. Best of luck to you on the magazine, and thanks for watching!
  2. MAK9 Marcos: Excellent. Now that the groups have been implemented it would be interesting to have an option to select several layers at once. Thank you so much for the videos.
  3. Davies Media Design: Thanks for the comment and the questions! I think whether or not a vector-based program is best for your project will depend on what elements are going into your project. GIMP is always great for photo editing and simple design, but if you want to make more crisp graphics that are also scalable in either direction (up or down) without losing quality at a later date (or even during your project), then you might want to create vector objects in a vector-based program. To answer your second question, you can drag the GIMP logo file directly from your file folder into your composition to save a step. In my experience, you cannot hit ctrl+c on your keyboard to successfully copy an image from one composition to another. However, you can do that for layers within a single project. Thanks again!
  4. drutgat2: Thanks very much, Michael :)
  5. Surtep: +Davies Media Design Omg I am so sorry, I am so stupid.. All this time I thought GIMP 2.10 was GIMP 2.1 and that my GIMP 2.8 was a higher version xDD So sorry, I am a retard :D
  6. Surtep: +Davies Media Design Funny thing is that you say "it might not work with older versions of GIMP", but we were trying it in a newer version then you in the video :D So my question is, why did they removed this function in GIMP 2.8.x? I will try to upgrade to the newest version, but I kinda didn't like the new "photoshopy" modern look it had. That's why I downloaded an older version with the good old look..
  7. Davies Media Design: +Surtep By "older versions" I certainly meant anything older than GIMP 2.10 (i.e. GIMP 2.8.x as you mentioned). I think this feature was not around in GIMP 2.8, though I could be wrong (I discovered this feature in GIMP 2.10). If the look of your GIMP is the only thing holding you back from updating, I certainly recommend checking out the beginning of my 2 hour GIMP 2.10 basics video where I go over how to change the look and color of your GIMP User Interface so that it matches the look in older versions.
  8. Davies Media Design: Thanks for watching!
  9. Surtep: Same problem here.. Gimp 2.8.x.. Can't export as layers for seperate pages..
  10. Roma Burke: Great Video. I have subscribed. Thanks so much, I am in the middle of designing a downloadable PDF Magazine and this has helped me hugely!!
  11. Davies Media Design: I've got a tutorial on fixing blemishes and skin complexion which may be what you are looking for (using the airbrush tool and some other retouching tools): https://youtu.be/oSfO0a3ej5A . You can also check out my GIMP course: From Beginner to Pro Photo Retoucher. Thanks for watching!
  12. mohamed shifan: Thank you very much for the great video 👍
  13. Damnit Bobby: Thanks
  14. Surtep: I have exactly the same problem.. I wanted to edit a 3 page document, but I can only export it as 1 page without the other 2 pages.. Even tho there are 3 layers.. Pretty annoying they removed the option or I am not sure what else to do..
  15. Davies Media Design: I definitely recommend upgrading to the latest version of GIMP and then rewatching this tutorial. It may not work with older versions of GIMP - I am not entirely sure. But I always recommend using the latest GIMP version.
  16. JOSEDLSR: No me sale esa opción D:
  17. drutgat2: Thanks very much for this, Michael. I have a couple of questions about this, which I hope you will answer. 1. I presume that, since there are no photos in the the design, the preferred way of doing this would be in a vector-based programme. Is that correct? 2. Instead of clicking on a logo (e.g., the GIMP logo), and then going Edit - Copy, followed by Edit-Paste, can one simply select the logo and drag it onto the design page? Or, at the very least, using Control/Command C, and then Control/Command V? Thank you.
  18. Davies Media Design: I agree! I have tried this several times with no success. Definitely a feature they should implement.
  19. Davies Media Design: Awesome - glad to hear it. I will certainly continue posting.
  20. MrExiled: you can do a tutorial on the professional retouch for gimp?
  21. Zak Kaye: I have multiple layers group's but will not save as multiple pages
  22. HardGainer Fitness: So easy!! Thank you for posting this!!! I needed it! Keep posting more content like this
  23. Ростислав Костюк: Hi, when I hit "export as" button I can not see layers as multiple pages. Is there an option to enable it? My version of GIMP is 2.8.22. I'm running macOS.
